Dr. Ian Phelps, M.D., CCFP (EM), Paramedic

(T.E.M.S. Medical Director)

 

  • Ian was instrumental with the initial development of the T.E.M.S. Medical Control Guidelines, Staff Development and Medical Audit System.

 

  • Ian practiced as a Registered Paramedic for the Medicine Hat Ambulance Service for 13 years prior to entering the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Calgary.

 

  • Upon graduating from the U of C, Ian embarked on a successful family practice in Medicine Hat, AB. Ian also works as an emergency room physician for Alberta Health Services in Medicine Hat and Ft. McMurray.

 

  • Medical Director for the Alberta Health Emergency Medical Services (Southern Zone)

  • Senior Medical Director for Alberta Health Emergency Medical Services.
